5. Harvest Glory Ministry: Based in Semmes, Al. www.harvestglory.com
"He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose" -- (Jim Elliot, missionary martyr.)
As I entered the village church I noticed a frail women lying on a mat. "She is dying of cancer, I was told. She has come because she has heard Jesus is healing people in this church…."
Three young men sit quietly outside the church door listening to the Gospel message, the invitation is given and they surrender their lives to Christ. Amazingly these men were the source of most of the resistance to the new village church….
To see churches along the hostile un-reached coast of Tanzania, bring life transforming change to African Muslims is beyond words. Kitopeni, Mangasani, Kijotoyama and now Zanzibar are bringing revival fire to their surrounding areas. These villages once without light or truth have become lighthouses of hope, healing and the power of Jesus Christ.
Much has been accomplished but we are positioned to move even more effectively in the coming years. There is a momentum that is both encouraging and challenging. We must seize this incredible opportunity that God has given us.
Six years ago one missionary director told me they were failing to impact the coastal region of Tanzania. He cautioned me to make sure God was really calling me into this difficult area. Most mission work even today focuses on the interior of Tanzania and Kenya. With the support and encouragement of many of you, God is doing more than I ever dreamed or imagined.
World Missions reports that less than 1% of Christian giving goes to the un-reached areas of the world. We are producing a tremendous lasting and eternal work in the un-reached coastal region of Tanzania East Africa.
Last year we planted a new church in Mangasani and built a temporary structure in Kitopeni. On my last visit the children presented me with crayon pictures showing how they are praying for a permanent building so they can meet regularly regardless of weather..
This year we want to build two more permanent structures and plant several new churches. Help us continue this incredible vision to reach coastal Tanzania.
If you are reading this e-mail you are part of a group of people who love God and desire to know him more each day. If you are serious about knowing Him you must help build His kingdom. I have made it a point not to ask for money or sell merchandise on this e-mail list. However, I felt led to send out this request and ask each of you to pray and give something this year for the work in Africa.
All funds raised go directly to the reaching the lost and planting churches in Africa. Checks can me made out to: IGO - P.O. Box 1008 - Semmes, Al. 36575 Mark for Steve Gray - Africa Project
Let us rejoice for the harvest fields are ripe for harvest, Stephen Gray
