Since the time Karen was a young girl, she has had a deep desire to know the Lord. Her deep religious roots reach back through her generations of missionaries, preachers, Christian musicians and song writers. While Karen was growing up her Grandmother was her greatest inspiration. She was a portrait of strength and faith of a Godly woman.
As a young girl Reverend Karen preached to the angels and make believe people from a pulpit she made using a cardboard box. Even then, the Lord had planted inside of her heart the desire to share the gospel.
After straying away from the Lord, in her youth, the Lord began to draw her back unto Himself. In a dream she was chased, tormented and pulled down into a dark place. As she looked up, her hand rested in the hand of Jesus. As He pulled her up out of darkness, a page from the bible completely covered her body. It read. Psalms 23: 1-6 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leaded me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leaded me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. These words have remained true for Karen. The Lord has continually been with her. He has changed her life and He means everything to her.
Mrs. Reverend Karen and her loving husband Mark have walked through heartache, sorrow, and great times of testing, crossing over to victory, joy, and the absolute of knowing their Redeemer Savior Lives!
Mark and Karen are just like everyone else, as they strive together to make it to the other side. Life hasn't always been easy for them, but one thing is for sure. They both understand God is more than enough. He is their "All Sufficient One," Jehovah-Jireh their provider.
Today Reverend Karen is sharing the gospel and ministering as the Lord opens the doors of opportunity to her. She is answering the call God has placed upon her life. When she ministers to others she remembers this: "If it were not for His grace, I to, would be lost and undone. It is His work of grace we need in our lives. I thank God, He did not forget me, and I'm so very grateful that He consumes me with His love."
Reverend Karen wants those she ministers to, to realize the Lord extends His grace to them, just as He has done for countless others throughout the ages. It is the Lord's desire to consume us with His great love, whereby we are forever changed.
Today many people want to be tools used by God in mission fields, to reach the lost for Jesus, or preach from a pulpit reaching the multitudes. But the greatest ministry of all is the ministry unto the Lord, and the benefits from this experience then flows into the family. A true ministry begins at home in our relationships with one another. As we walk in his anointing, saturated in His Glory, we will automatically impart His presence wherever we go.
